Empowerment Through Nature
Green Care is an internationally recognized concept that uses nature-based activities to promote physical and mental well-being. At its core, Green Care harnesses the healing power of natural environments to foster personal growth, connection, and skill development.
At Firefly Grove, our unique Green Care program takes the form of Care Farming—a practice that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meaningful farm work and animal care. By engaging participants in sustainable farming practices and fostering a supportive community, we aim to cultivate confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging, all while nurturing the land.
